We'd always wanted to live overseas and one day, rather unexpectedly, it all started to happen. On April 17, 2008 we moved from Chicago, Illinois, USA to the hamlet of Callow in the United Kingdom. Tatties and Neeps will be my chronicle of our experiences across the pond and how we'll handle living in a quaint puddle of 50,000 instead of a bustling sea of 9 million.
This blog will serve two main purposes: First, we hope to share lots of stories and pictures with our friends and family back home. Second, already we find those same folks back home asking questions about where we will be living and the ins-and-outs of how (and why!) to visit us. As I hear about deals and routes and explore the wonders of Nowhere and Everywhere, I'll be posting them here to share with everyone.
This blog, by the way, is the yang to my wife's yin. Her blog is a filthy nasty thing full of words like tosser and wanker and is no longer available from here. If you still want to read her blog, well, I don't know what to tell you.
