The Lilacs finally revealed its namesake. The front gate had a rather plain tree next to it, sprouting out of the top of the hedge. Over the last week it dramatically burst into bloom: lilacs, of course! The fragrance counter-acts the occasionally wind from the nearby chicken farm.

The lilacs are beautiful, and easy going on the chicken farm...That's the smell of some awesome compost! We are happy to hear of Boo's success with her food ~ knowing and loving Boo, gas and all!!
Your patio is looking great~ very relaxing. Our lilacs by the deck are just beginning to come out now too.
We have much of the veggie garden at the hippie commune in, covering for cool nights still though. The chickens are great, the chicken run is getting closer to being fully fenced in. The massive mosquitoes are inhibiting progress somewhat right now, despite the fish in our rain barrels ;0) I'm not in much of a hurry as I'm concerned that mosquitoes may just carry a chicken or two away!
Lily is off the German food, but onto her potty, so I'm on my way. Lot's of toots and impending poopy as she stands naked and leafs through one of her little books with grammy.
